The Descent and Mach Fox Team Up With Radio K for Fall Powersurge!
The Locust Lecture is proud to announce that a member of the now-defunct Descent Triad and a member of local electropunk outfit Mach Fox will be taking to the airwaves for a one-night-only cameo appearance on Saturday, October 8th at 7:00 P.M. (CST) The Descent was Radio K's long-running goth/electro/darkwave/industrial show during the lion's share of the 90's and early 00's. Since the demise of the show, the Triad has been keeping themselves busy with the bands Dissociate & Space Bar as well as Djing darksider dance nights around town such as St. Paul's Electro-Tank. Mach Fox describes their music as "sleek sci-fi pop." Their latest self-released CD is entitled "FuturePast."
Power Surge is Radio K's bi-annual fundraising drive, which constitutes a significant portion of the non-profit KUOM's budget. The Locust Lecture heartily encourage listeners to purchase a fictional "share" of our radio station as a tangible show of support for the only weekly radio show in the Twin Cities area specifically devoted entirely to goth, darksider, industrial and heavy metal music.
